Based on the daily activities and needs for our residents, recommended visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Other times may be accommodated and should be arranged in advance. We ask that visitors consider other patients when planning their visits, so to avoid disturbances.

The need for long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation may not occur under ideal circumstances. A fall, stroke, or brief illness can deprive us of our customary feeling of independence and security. Fortunately, we have a team of trained professionals that will assist in developing individualized plans of care, in order to achieve desired goals.

Therapy treatment is provided by our skilled clinicians in our spacious and fully equipped therapy center that is designed with the latest therapy assessment, monitoring, and treatment modalities.
Our team of clinicians specializes in understanding the individual needs of our patients and how to best adjust the pace of rehabilitation to maximize success for each patient.
The team provides a full range of services including: mobility and endurance recovery, communication and cognitive augmentation, dysphasia management, orthotic fitting and training, pain management, activities of daily living and community living skills restoration.
The Courtyards at Pasadena has a Pulmonary Medical Specialty unit. Our goal is to maximize the patient's level of independence and autonomy and increase the quality of life regardless of the condition or prognosis. The pulmonary team on this unit is lead by an independent Pulmonologist (a physician with expertise in managing conditions of the lungs) and staff trained specifically in the management of these conditions.
This unit focuses on the medical management and rehabilitation of those who have pulmonary conditions (conditions of the lungs and airways like COPD and pneumonia). We have oxygen that is piped in through the walls as well as medical air and wall suctioning available.
In an effort to maximize recovery and function based on individual and condition- specific treatment planning, our clinicians provide services such as specialty pulmonary function/exercise capacity testing, oxygen conservation techniques, and endurance training. We also provide pulmonary support groups/education as well as pulmonary specific outcomes/ condition impact measurements.
Pulmonary patients receive care at all levels, in a variety of treatment categories. At this time, we do not take ventilator patients (although this is in the near future) but we do provide care to patients who have recently been weaned from ventilator dependency.

Long-Term Care assists those who may benefit from 24- hour nursing availability and assistance with meals, medications or other activities of daily living. The environment at The Courtyards at Pasadena is designed so that residents may live comfortably, as a part of a community.
The Courtyards at Pasadena is committed to delivering quality wound and ostomy care to patients with a variety of comprehensive medical needs. The loss of skin integrity can affect the physiological, psychological and the social well being of the individual suffering from acute or chronic debilitation. It is our goal to aide in the quick healing of wounds. At The Courtyards at Pasadena we have partnered with an independent wound certified physician that specializes in wound care. This physician care is combined with continuous quality nursing care and progressive treatment modalities such as:

We understand choosing a physician is one of the most important health care decisions a person must make. Each physician with privileges to practice at The Courtyards at Pasadena has been credentialed and reviewed by our Medical Director Quality Assurance Committee. Although we do not employ physicians we have partnered with a variety of specialist to meet the needs of our patients.
The Medical Director will work with the patient's Primary Care Physician (PCP) to promote continuity of care. We have an open panel for PCPs and welcome them to follow patient care. If your PCP is interested in following your care please have them contact our admissions team to find out more information about the credentialing process.
Common Diagnoses
The Courtyards at Pasadena's menu follows a liberalized philosophy supported by the American Dietetic Association and the American Diabetes Association. Our Nutrition Services Director will meet with you to discuss any specific restriction and/or preferences you may have. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to our residents. We encourage residents to eat in the common dining areas in order to socialize with fellow residents, however it is perfectly acceptable if the resident prefers to dine in their room.

Our daily activities include, but are not limited to bingo, arts and crafts, puzzles, etc. Some of our special activities include bus trips to points of interest in the Houston and surrounding area.
