Success Story
“Theresa is excited to return home and resume living in the community with increased independence—stronger and more confident than ever before.”
Theresa McGehee was admitted to The Courtyards at Pasadena following an episode of syncope and collapse. Upon evaluation, she required moderate assistance for bed mobility, transfers, and upper body dressing; maximum assistance for lower body dressing; and minimum assistance to walk 30 feet using a rolling walker.
With determination and the support of her therapy team, Theresa made steady progress. At discharge, she was modified independent with bed mobility, required supervision for transfers, contact guard assistance for upper body dressing, and minimal assistance for lower body dressing. She was also walking up to 300 feet with standby assistance using a rolling walker.
